When every recipient has a key, your browser encrypts the message text to them. Encrypted mail you receive opens right in your inbox, with its signature checked.
What does OpenPGP protect?
The message text. With OpenPGP on, your message text never reaches KeyKeeper unencrypted, not even as a draft. Your key is created or imported in Settings, and KeyKeeper stores it only locked with a passphrase you choose. Subjects, addresses and times stay visible, as email requires. Attachments and formatted messages can’t be encrypted yet, and messages sent as PGP/MIME can’t be read in the browser yet. Mail from people who don’t use your key arrives readable by KeyKeeper, like standard mail.

Every mailbox on every plan, including Free, gets the same spam filter. It costs nothing, and it runs on our own mail server, so message content never leaves it.

Near-certain spam is refused before delivery, so its sender gets a bounce. Moving mail into or out of Spam trains the filter from any IMAP app, too. Agent mailboxes get the same filter.

Private AI,
when you want it.
KeyKeeper AI is an optional $3/month add-on for Personal, Pro and Team. It runs only on Venice.ai’s end-to-end encrypted models. Each request is encrypted to a hardware-isolated enclave, so KeyKeeper and Venice don’t receive readable text, and nothing is stored or used for training.
- An AI spam check: a second opinion on incoming mail that catches the cold outreach, SEO pitches and predatory journal invitations that rules miss
- A ✦ AI tag in Spam, and the AI’s one-line reason when you open the message
- A notice in your inbox when messages were filtered to Spam
- “Not spam” makes the AI trust that sender: the whole company domain, or the exact address at Gmail, Outlook and other shared providers
- “Clean up my inbox” reads the last 90 days, up to 1,000 messages, and suggests what belongs in Spam. Nothing moves until you choose
Writing help is coming soon. A message is checked only when every KeyKeeper recipient has the AI spam check on, and never when it’s OpenPGP-encrypted. Trust applies only to mail that passes sender authentication. Not available for agent accounts or corporate mailboxes.
